Jennifer Aniston appears to do anything for the love of acting - including having fake oil thrown on her.

The actress was seen in Manhattan on Sunday shooting a scene for her hit Apple TV+'s 'The Morning Show'. The Emmy Award -winner plays fictional television anchor Alex Levy and in this scene she was covering a climate change protest.

During the protest, one of the demonstrators threw "oil" at her, getting it all over her hair and outfit. Jennifer was wearing a white button up sleeveless shirt and khaki pants with a brown woven crossbody purse - which were now all stained in the fake oil.

In the scene, Jennifer appears to not be happy at all with tar running down her clothes and arms. In one photo taken, the star is staring at her phone with a distressed look on her face.

It appears that the thrown oil isn't the worst of the scene, as witnesses described the scene included riot police driving back protestors. The show is known for its timely plot lines, and this appears to be one of them. Previous topics include the #MeToo movement, racial inequality, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the January 6th insurrection.

Jennifer is filming for The Morning Show's fourth season, which has yet to have a premiere date. Alongside Jennifer, Reece Witherspoon stars as Bradley Jackson, who takes over as co-host of the titular morning show after Alex's co-host Mitch Kessler (played by Steve Carell) is fired after sexual misconduct allegations.

The last season of the show premiered on September 13, 2023 and included ten episodes. It's nominated for eleven Primetime Emmy Awards this year including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. In 2020, the show won its first Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in Drama Series for Billy Crudup's portrayal of Cory Ellison, the CEO of the show's network.
