Simone Biles showed her Olympic dominance yet again on Sunday, fighting through a calf injury to post the best overall score of qualifying.

Biles is the greatest gymnast of all time, and her greatness is fully recognized throughout the gymnastics community.

Gymnastics legend Nastia Liukin is fully aware of how outstanding Biles is. During a recent interview with USA Today's Sports Seriously show, the former American gold medalist shared some serious praise for Biles.

"The thing that sets her apart from so many others is... it's not only the level of difficulty because of the skills that she does and the skills that are named after her and even more. It's also the way she performs them, it's done with such ease. And that's the point of when you're an athlete, a gymnast, I guess you want to make it look easy. You don't want it look like a struggle," Liukin said.

"And I think that's what to an extent you are judged on as well. But she makes it look so easy that it's like 'oh anybody could do that' and it's the complete opposite. In fact, nobody in the world can do it. And not only can nobody not do it, but do it do well," she continued.

Biles is back at the Olympics after withdrawing from the 2020 Tokyo Games. At the time of that controversial decision, Luikin was one of the people who stepped forward with public support for Biles.

"It was something that I will forever be so proud of her for doing because, you know she has set such a great example, obviously for everything she has done on the competition floor, but in my opinion, even more so off of the competition floor," Liukin said. "And what she did here, putting her mental health and her safety first, was something I think a lot of people can learn from."

Biles and Team USA will participate in the team finals on Tuesday.
