Former WWE World Champion Drew McIntyre recently appeared in a photo with AEW star Jack Perry amid his ongoing feud with CM Punk. The rivalry between McIntyre and Punk has intensified in recent months on WWE Raw. Despite Punk consistently hindering McIntyre’s title pursuits, the Scottish Warrior hasn’t backed down. Furthermore, he is also repeatedly firing back at Punk.

Last week, McIntyre escalated the feud by posting a photo with AEW star Jack Perry, captioned “Cry us a river.” This direct jab referenced the infamous backstage altercation between Punk and Perry at AEW All In 2023. The photo was quickly deleted by the former WWE World Champion.

With much fan speculation about Drew McIntyre facing trouble over the photo, it was initially thought that this led to his decision to delete it. However, reports indicate that McIntyre has faced no internal issues within WWE regarding the photo with Jack Perry. The report also mentioned that both McIntyre and CM Punk were collaborating closely on their feud.

Recently, WWE Raw featured a segment with CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, and Seth Rollins. However, fans noticed that WWE commentator Michael Cole referenced McIntyre’s antics from the previous week.

The latest edition of WWE Raw featured a segment with Seth Rollins, who is scheduled as the special guest referee for Drew McIntyre and CM Punk’s match. Rollins was set to explain the rules of their upcoming match and introduce the two competitors.

During Drew McIntyre’s entrance, fans noticed that Michael Cole made a subtle reference to McIntyre’s photo with Jack Perry during the live broadcast. Cole stated, “Drew McIntyre was stirring things up on social media this past week. Bringing up things with CM Punk’s past.”

Both McIntyre and Punk will finally get their hands on each other this weekend at SummerSlam in Cleveland, Ohio.
