There are big changes for this year’s Tax-Free Holiday in Ohio.

As we reported Tuesday on News Center 7′s Daybreak , Consumer Reporter Xavier Hershovitz broke down how those big changes can save you money.

The State Department of Taxation says any tangible personal property less than $500 is not taxed.

Restaurants are also included this year.

Things not included are vehicle sales, cigarettes, alcohol, car repairs, or alterations.

Hershovitz did some shopping at the Meijer in Springfield. He got some dog food which would not have been tax-free last year.

Shoppers will not have to pay sales tax on certain items now until 11:59 p.m. Sunday.

For more information on what items are tax-free this year, visit this website .
