Meghan Markle 'must to do one thing' to end feud with Prince William and Kate Middleton

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have had a strained relationship with the Royal Family for years, but one expert believes there's something Meghan can do to end the feud .

When the couple sat down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, they opened up about the reasons why they decided to quit life in the UK, including their grievances with some of the other royals. The palace swiftly released a statement on behalf of the late Queen Elizabeth.

It asserted the Sussexes are "much-loved family members" but noted "some recollections may vary" about their claims, which would be "addressed privately". While Harry has since returned to the UK, he has not reunited with Prince William or Kate Middleton and Meghan has not joined her husband in the UK since 2022.

The bombshell Oprah interview wasn't the end of the couple airing their grievances, however, with the pair also making further allegations against the Royal Family in their six-part Netflix docuseries and in Harry's bestselling memoir Spare.

The memoir revealed Harry's frustrations with his family, especially Prince William and King Charles, tracing the roots back to his childhood. Royal expert Robert Hardman, author of Charles III: New King, New Court, The Inside Story, has suggested at a literary festival that despite the ongoing tension between William, Harry, and their wives, there's one thing the Sussexes could do to potentially end the longstanding feud.

Hardman proposed that a way to "normalize" things would be for the Sussexes to visit the UK this summer, bringing along their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. He recommended that Harry "come over with Meghan, with the children, privately, for a few days maybe in the summer".

Speaking at the Hay Festival, Hardman explained: "Once that happens it's not such big news when it happens again. Then you start to get somewhere".

He also pointed out that given the recent health challenges faced by the Royal Family, with King Charles and Kate both undergoing cancer treatment, Harry's visit earlier this year after hearing about his father's diagnosis was a promising sign.

"I thought it was telling that when the cancer diagnosis came through back in February, Prince Harry came straight over. People said why didn't he stay longer, why didn't he talk to his father? I mean, there is so much to be worked through, but this was absolutely not the moment to have some sort of summit with Harry about all of Harry's grievances.

"But I think the fact he came was important, the fact he was received was important, I think what encouraged people at the palace and encouraged the king was the fact that afterwards, we didn't then read about it or hear about it. It remained private."
