Princess Charlotte's 'uncanny' likeness to two Royal family members is highlighted by fans

Princess Charlotte has been charming the public since her younger days with the royals . Now at nine years old, the daughter of the Prince and Princess of Wales is a regular sight at Royal engagements such as Trooping the Colour, where she notably keeps a watchful eye on her little brother, Prince Louis, during their carriage and balcony appearances.

With an older brother, Prince George, Charlotte has often been noted for looking like both her parents . However, some eagle-eyed Royal aficionados have pointed out she also remarkably resembles two other Royal family members.

Curiously, the two relatives are not connected to each other despite their shared relation to Charlotte, adding an extra layer of fascination to their likeness. A viral social media post made by a Royal fan brought to light that Princess Charlotte shares a striking similarity with her deceased grandmother, Princess Diana, when she herself was a child.

Yet, there's more, as people noticed Charlotte equally mirrors her late great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, reports the Mirror . A side-by-side comparison of childhood photos of the two women alongside one of Charlotte caused quite a buzz on Facebook thanks to their remarkable look-alike features.

Social media users can't seem to decide if Charlotte "looks like the Queen" more or "resembles Diana", with the young princess evoking comparisons to both of her departed relatives. Still, there are those who maintain she is "a beautiful young girl in her own right."

One individual observed: "Charlotte looks like Charlotte. She is very pretty and has inherited the beauty genes of her mother, Diana, and the Queen, but she will be beautiful because of that as she grows into a beautiful woman. God bless you, Princess Charlotte." Sadly, Princess Charlotte was never able to meet her grandmother, with Princess Diana tragically passing away in 1997, which was long before Charlotte's birth; her father, Prince William, was just a teenager at the time.

Nevertheless, Princess Charlotte did experience a loving connection with her great-grandmother, the late Queen, who passed away in 2022 when Charlotte was only seven years old. In fact, the Queen made a deeply touching decision that would significantly impact their family dynamics, after she implemented a key revision to a Royal statute that brought about a progressive shift in line of succession protocols.

In anticipation of William and Kate's first child, the Queen enacted the Succession to the Crown Act, which updated archaic Royal statutes to ensure a fair claim to the Royal lineage for all of their children, regardless of gender.

Although Prince George retained his spot as third, later becoming second in line to the throne by virtue of being the eldest male child, the Queen's ruling affirmed that their daughter's place was secure and wouldn't be undermined by any future siblings, such as the birth of their younger brother, Prince Louis.
