Shola Shoretire lands in Greece to seal shock transfer after leaving Man Utd for nothing

SHOLA SHORETIRE has arrived in Greece to complete his shock move to PAOK.

The England youth international, 20, opted to leave Manchester United upon the expiry of his contract last month despite the Red Devils being open to keeping him.

And, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano , the United academy product received plenty of attention from England, Spain, the US and Saudi Arabia.

But he has instead opted to move to Greece with Super League side PAOK.

Footage has now emerged of Shoretire arriving in Greece to complete his transfer.

PAOK are the reigning champions, having pipped AEK Athens to the title last season.

They will compete in the Champions League next term, and have former Premier League stars William Troost-Ekong, Jonny Otto and Baba Rahman among their ranks.

Shoretire made five first team appearances for Man Utd – four of which came under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer .

He did not feature at all under Ten Hag, leading to his United exit.

The highly-rated prospect went on loan to Bolton in 2023, appearing 16 times for the Trotters.

Shoretire became the youngest ever Man Utd player to appear for the club in Europe when he featured in a 0-0 draw with Real Sociedad in February 2021.

He also became their their seventh-youngest ever player outright, while also wearing the highest shirt number ever for a United player in a competitive match – 74.

When United released their retained list last month, they revealed that talks remained ongoing with Shoretire.

But they were unable to agree on a new deal.
