    Bruce Willis joins his family in rare appearance after actor was diagnosed with dementia

    Bruce Willis has been seen in a rare appearance with his family after he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia .

    The actor's daughter Tallulah Willis has given an update on her father's health struggles, sharing a sweet snap of him and her boyfriend Justin Acee on Instagram . "This photo is sunshine on a rainy day for me," Tallulah captioned the post.

    In the picture, Bruce was seen wearing a light red T-shirt as he stood close to Justin, who put his arm around the Die Hard star . Justin wore a maroon shirt which he paired with a chunky chain necklace.

    Fans were loving the picture, with one person commenting: "He is so fortunate to be surrounded by such a supportive and loving family. You are all inspiring." Another added: "This made my day so happy to see such a lovely photo of your daddy and your love! How very sweet of you to share it with us! Bruce is such a national treasure, and for us fans who love Bruce and all of ya'll, this brings joy! Hugs from NC!"

    "God your dad was such an integral part of my child hood. Watching his movies with my dad. Will forever be a thing for me," a third fan gushed. Someone else added: "Having the man you loved first and the love of your life in one room is just bliss!"

    Bruce's family has been open about his health after revealing his diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia early in 2023. The diagnosis came after they initially revealed his battle with aphasia.

    In October, it was revealed that Bruce is now "not totally verbal" due to his dementia. Glenn Gordon Caron, a film creator who worked with Bruce in the 80s, told Page Six : "My sense is the first one to three minutes he knows who I am. He's not totally verbal; he used to be a voracious reader - he didn't want anyone to know that - and he's not reading now.

    "All those language skills are no longer available to him, and yet he's still Bruce." He added: "When you're with him you know that he's Bruce and you're grateful that he's there, but the joie de vivre is gone."
