Of all the debates in the NBA world, the most fierce one might be the GOAT debate. Michael Jordan has long been regarded as the greatest basketball player of all time, but a large faction of fans has recently been swayed by LeBron James .

As King James continues to add his legacy, Bron's GOAT case only gets stronger, making the debate more and more juicy. It shouldn't come as a surprise that LeBron's longtime friend and agent, Rich Paul , believes he's the GOAT, but he recently made a compelling case in his favor.

Paul lays out James' GOAT case

There are arguments for the Bulls legend and Bron being the NBA's GOAT. MJ has more titles than the Ohio native, but the the Lakers forward has more longevity than Mike. He's still adding to his list of accomplishments to this day, which only helps his case.

Paul knows that his opinion doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but he's fully on Team James in this situation. While he admitted Jordan might be better at certain aspects of the game, when it comes to an all-around player, he believes that LeBron is the best of the bunch.

"If you talking about the best player, I'm taking LJ," Rich Paul said on It Is What It Is . "We have this topic all the time, everybody gonna have their opinions which is fine, but I just think LJ played the game in a way which, not only did he make everybody better, the guy has 40,000 points in addition to making everybody better. Now, we know what our culture came up off of, we watched the commercials when you watched Mike's games, you really didn't take a break."

"For LeBron to do what he did and have to come behind the production over the years of Mike and what he did for you game, it's just a testament to who he really is…I can't tell you who your GOAT should be; I'm just saying for me, you talk about the best player, LJ. You talk about the scorer, then it's Mike, and then there's a little Kobe conversation there as well," Paul continued.

"In all seriousness, I just think that when you talk about all somebody had to endure and then to persevere, and not only to persevere, but to persevere and transition, all while carrying the weight of the expectation and the want to fail, I think that's just a tougher task, and I think we have to salute that," he concluded.

The Jordan-LeBron GOAT debate rages on

Paul's case is certainly compelling. His argument goes deeper than the basketball being played on the court and looks at both guys' impact on the game as a whole. It's tough to say anyone had a bigger impact on the NBA than His Airness did, but Paul makes some fair points.

Coming into the league in the wake of his legendary career would always be tough, but James managed to do that and more. Even with the sky-high expectations surrounding him and his entry to the league, he put together a career no one could have expected from him.

Paul believes Jordan is a better scorer than King James, but he doesn't believe that's the case when considering him an all-around player. In his eyes, LeBron elevates his teammates in a way MJ couldn't during his career.

Of course, it's worth noting that Mike elevated his teammates to win more titles than Bron, but that proves there are so many sides to this argument. Paul's case is good, but he's right in saying that his opinion probably isn't going to change what many fans think.
