Liam Neeson movie free on popular streaming service has one star on Rotten Tomatoes - but some fans 'love' it

A Liam Neeson movie that is free to stream for many subscribers was panned by critics when it was released but some admit that they "love" it. Liam Neeson has made a name for himself as one of the leading action stars in Hollywood.

Even in his 70s, the Northern Irish actor is showing no signs of slowing down when it comes to action-packed, fast-paced thrillers and race-against-time flicks. One of his more recent projects, which was slated by critics, is still loved by some fans of the Oscar -nominated star.

Blacklight was released in 2022 and stars Neeson as a war veteran who works unofficially for the FBI Director. Neeson's character, Travis, discovers a top-secret operation that targets innocent civilians and decides to join forces with a reporter to expose the culprits.

While that sounds thrilling, many blasted the film and it has just one star on Rotten Tomatoes. Meanwhile, it has a critics' rating of just 11 percent.

However, not everyone hated the film as much as many critics did. In fact, the film has a number of positive reviews from fans. "If you're looking for some action it's a good time," said one person.

"Sure the storyline has been done in some form or another a million times. Still a good choice for a night in. Get your popcorn and enjoy."

"A classic take on a man trying to do the right thing but doesn't know who to believe," said another. "He's a father and a grandfather but everything is on the line. Complex yet not too exaggerated story. If you haven't watched it, than I recommend you go watch the film."

A third wrote: "For any Liam Neeson fan it's another MUST SEE! He doesn't disappoint! Plenty of action and great plot. I highly recommend."

Among the more negative reviews, the film was panned and labeled as something that viewers simply must skip. One person wrote: "This was straw that broke the camel's back for me. With the camel's back being Liam Neeson action films."

Another admitted: "This time, you have to listen to the critics." Another person wrote: "Absolutely terrible screen writing. This is not even Liam Neeson fan service. It feels like a high school drama club acted in it too."
