Meanwhile, “ A Quiet Place: Day One ” is set for release on DVD , Blu-ray , 4K Ultra HD and 4K Steelbook with prices starting at $25.99 on Tuesday, Oct. 8 on Target , Amazon and Walmart .

Written and directed by Michael Sarnoski, “ A Quiet Place: Day One ” follows Sam (Lupita Nyong’o), a young woman with a terminal disease who becomes trapped on Manhattan during the early stages of an alien invasion where creatures fall from the sky to conquer the planet. She encounters Eric (Joseph Quinn), a law student who has nothing to lose, as the pair try to escape the island.
