    Microsoft Azure and 365 hit by major outage with 'healthcare' systems among those impacted

    Microsoft services have been hit by another outage, with Azure and Microsoft 365 users experiencing problems. The tech giant has acknowledged the disruption with an official statement.

    On their update platform , Microsoft 365 Status posted: "We're currently investigating access issues and degraded performance with multiple Microsoft 365 services and features. More information can be found under MO842351 in the admin center."

    The outage has had a widespread impact across the UK and Europe, affecting various sectors including healthcare. Benenden Hospital in Kent alerted its patients via social media , stating: "Due to a Microsoft outage across Europe, patients may experience issues logging into My Patient Hub. Please check back for updates. We apologize for any inconvenience caused."

    While the issue seems confined to Europe, Microsoft is not taking any chances and is carrying out a thorough global review. The Azure status page shared: "We are investigating reports of issues connecting to Microsoft services globally. Customers may experience timeouts connecting to Azure services," reports the Express .
