    Museum Month in New Orleans returns in August

    August 1st is almost here and that means New Orleans Museum month is back! New Orleans Museum month is a collaboration between local area museums in the greater New Orleans area. Through the entire month of August, when you purchase a membership to one of the participating museums, you will get the opportunity to also visit the other participating museums for free of charge.

    This year, 24 local area museums are participating in New Orleans Museum month. Located throughout the French Quarter, Arts District, CBD, Mid City and Uptown, museum members can visit any participating museum using their current membership.

    Some of the participating museums include the Louisiana Children's Museum, New Orleans Jazz Museum, New Orleans Museum of Art, Southern Food and Beverage Museum, Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Sazerac House, New Orleans Pharmacy Museum as well as the National WWII Museum, which has been repeatedly ranked as the #1 thing to do in the city of New Orleans and was named Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best by Trip Advisor for 2024.
