Taking to Reddit, they wanted to make sure the name was digestible and not too odd.
They wrote: “So I'm really struggling with a name for our baby girl, due in December. I LOVE the name Aurora but her last name would be Riley. Does it sound ridiculous? Are there too many 'R's'?
“Her middle name would be Lily which I think as a whole name sounds fine but it's not often that her whole name would be used unless we double barrel it.
“Does anyone have any other suggestions for names? We want to stay with the celestial/space/moon theme as our other daughter is called Elara.”
Reddit users chimed in with their thoughts about the name.
One social media user said: “It’s a lot of 'r's - what if you child has a speech impediment? Lily and Riley also have the same mouth feel and together, it doesn't flow well (but that's just my opinion!) All are beautiful names but together, it feels a lot. At the end of the day though, name your baby what feels right to you as her mum.”
Another individual chimed in: “You could do Aurora Lilian Riley and call her Lily. Aurelia Lilian Riley. If you just absolutly like the way Aurora sounds. Aurelia doesn't have as many r's.”
With some concern someone else said: “I don’t hate it but I worry about what if the child has an issue pronouncing Rs. So maybe look into names like Luna, Estella, etc.”
Also not fond of the name, someone else chimed in: “Yeah, it doesn't quite flow off the tongue tbh.”
Some other people quite liked the name though.
One individual said: “I actually think it’s fine.”
Another person said: “I like Aurora.”
And a third person chimed in: “It’s ok. I had a stutter as a kid and it’s hard for me to pronounce. That and rural lol.”
