    12-year-old dead after crashing motorcycle into John Deere in Somerset County

    MILFORD TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Somerset juvenile is dead after police said he crashed his Yamaha offroad motorcycle into a John Deere Monday afternoon.

    The 12-year-old, whose name was not released, was driving a Yamaha on Augustine Road in Milford Township around 12:30 p.m. July 29. State police wrote in their report that he was traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver of the motorcycle and the John Deere front-end loader tried to swerve but ended up colliding, troopers said.

    The 12-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Troopers noted in their report that the juvenile on the motorcycle was improperly using a helmet.
