YOUR iPhone is packed with hidden freebies.
In fact you could get about $185 worth of subscriptions for basically nothing.
Apple TV+ is available for free to some users as part of a trial promotion SOPA Images/LightRocket via Gett
That’s because Apple hands out free memberships to its own services when you buy one of its gadgets.
There are at least five you should be looking out for.
Some of them are only available if you’re a new subscriber, while others are fine for returning subscribers too.
Let’s start with Apple TV+. It’s basically Apple’s version of Netflix or Disney+, and is really very popular.
Normally it costs $9.99 a month but you’ll be able to get three months for free with a new iPhone , iPad , Apple TV or Mac.
Just go to the app and claim the offer, which is worth about $30.
But you’ll need to do it within the first three months of setting up your device.
Next is Fitness+, which is an app designed to help you get fit.
It’s got over 4,000 workouts from professional trainers, and also costs $9.99 a month.
For this you’ll need a new Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad or Apple TV.
The deal includes three months of Fitness+ with a value of $29.97. Not bad, and it’s good for your body too.
Third we’ve got Apple Arcade.
This is an enormous library of games – there are hundreds of titles in there.
And they’ve got a big perk of having no ads or in-app purchases.

It typically would cost you $6.99 but you’ll get three months for free with a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV or Mac.
That’s worth $20.97, so it’s not a bad deal to claim. Just head into the app to bag it.
Fourth is Apple News+, valued at $12.99 a month.
So the three-month freebie saves you $38.97.
iPhone tricks to try today
Here are some of the best...
Typing cursor – When typing, hold down the space bar to turn your keyboard into a trackpad, letting you move around words and sentences more easily
Close all Safari tabs – To do this in one go, simply hold the overlapped squares in the bottom right-hand corner, and press close all tabs
Delete lots of photos quickly – Hold down on a photo and then drag your finger diagonally in Photos to select lots of images at once, then hit delete
Convert currency quickly – Swipe down from the top of your Home screen, then tap in the bar and type a currency (like €200) and it will automatically covert to your local currency
Check if you’re due a battery upgrade – Batteries inside smartphones degrade over time. Just go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health, and check out the Maximum Capacity reading. Generally a battery is considered worn when you’re down to 80% capacity. If you’re below, you can buy a battery swap from Apple
Move apps around faster – Hold an app until it starts wiggling, then (while still holding) tap other apps, causing them to stack so you can move them around easier
This gets you a vast selection of paid-for news content from top magazines and publishers.
It’s available for new iPhone, iPad or Mac owners – just go into the Apple News app to claim it.
Finally there’s Apple Music – the very popular alternative to Spotify .
With this deal, you get six months of a subscription worth $10.99.

That’s valued at $65.94 over the course of the offer.
The app has more than 100 million songs, so you’ll never run out of tunes to listen to.
But for this, you’ll need some Apple audio gear.
That could be some recent AirPods or Beats (also owned by Apple), or one of the HomePod speakers.

Then connect it to an eligible Apple device running the latest iOS or iPadOS – so an iPhone or iPad.
Head into your Apple Music app and claim the offer.
If you combine all of these deals then you’ll save about $185 overall. Not bad for a freebie.
