CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputy who was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash earlier this month has died from his injuries.
Deputy Joshua Beck, 36, was off-duty when the crash happened on Sunday, July 14, on Dover Road just before South Liberty Church Road.
Deputy Beck was assigned to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office’s warrants division and had previously served as a patrol deputy. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
“Our hearts and condolences go out to his family. He will be sorely missed by the many friends and colleagues he has worked with. We are in contact with the family and will provide visitation and funeral service details when they become available,” the sheriff’s office posted on social media.
A crash report provided by the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) stated Beck’s 2024 BMW S1000 motorcycle was traveling west on Dover Road while improperly following a 2006 Chevy. Officials reported the motorcycle struck the Chevy’s right rear, left the roadway and came to a “final uncontrolled rest” in the wood line.
No additional information was immediately released.
