Joshua Zirkzee has cheekily admitted he's made an attempt to lure Jamal Musiala to Manchester United. The former Bayern Munich colleagues, who were recently seen hanging out in Los Angeles, set tongues wagging with their social media snaps.

Zirkzee joined United from Bologna after a five-year stint at Bayern, is now settling into life at Old Trafford. His move to United , facilitated by Ineos, was designed to bolster the squad's attacking options alongside Rasmus Hojlund.

But it seems Zirkzee could be dabbling in a bit of unofficial agent work too. Despite missing out on United's pre-season tour to the US due to his Euro 2024 commitments, Zirkzee still managed to mingle with potential future teammates during his holiday in California.

The buzz started when Zirkzee posted a photo with Musiala on Instagram, sparking speculation among fans. When a United fan encountered Zirkzee at Carrington and had her shirt signed, she took the chance to ask him on camera, "Can you tell Musiala to sign for United? " Amidst some chuckles, Zirkzee responded with a grin, "I've tried. I've tried! ".

Rumours surrounding the future of Musiala have been rife, with Manchester City reportedly showing interest in the young talent who has only two years left on his contract at Allianz Arena and is valued at around $105m (£87m).

His impressive record for Bayern includes 43 goals and 31 assists from 163 matches across all competitions, and he also boasts 34 caps for Germany. Liverpool has also been credited with an interest in Musiala in recent months, with the Bayern star catching the eye with some impressive performances at Euro 2024.

Meanwhile, Zirkzee is gearing up for a fresh start this season after making 17 appearances as a young player for Bayern.

Liverpool.com says: The Reds have been linked with Musiala in the past and he would be an outstanding addition. But it does appear that move is now unlikely. He would have the pick of Europe's top clubs if he was to leave Bayern and with United missing out on Champions League, he may favor a move elsewhere.
