Toby Keith’s Daughter, Krystal Keith, Pays Tribute To Her Father With Heartbreaking Performance Of “Don’t Let The Old Man In”

Last night in Nashville, it was all about Toby Keith.

An all-star lineup filled Bridgestone Arena for Toby Keith: American Icon, with artists like Eric Church, Carrie Underwood, Jelly Roll, Ashley McBryde, Luke Bryan, Parker McCollum, Riley Green, and many, many more taking the stage to pay tribute to the country legend.

But for Krystal Keith, she was there to pay tribute to her dad.

Before the event, Krystal took to the red carpet along with her siblings, Stelen Covel and Shelley Covel, to talk about the impact their father had not only on music, but on the world through his charity work, his love of sports, and much more.

And during the show, Krystal, who is a singer herself, had the opportunity to perform a special song in honor of her father.

In the months before his death, Toby had a surprise hit with “Don’t Let The Old Man In,” his 2019 song that was recorded for Clint Eastwood’s movie The Mule. The song took on a new, special significance when Toby performed it last fall at the People’s Choice Country Music Awards, and was re-released as a single soon thereafter.

So it was only fitting that at a show honoring her father, Krystal Keith would get to perform the song about making every moment of your life count:

The song took on special meaning coming from Toby’s daughter, and was a highlight of a night that was filled with some of country music’s biggest stars honoring the American icon:
