Similar to “Shine On,” the first advance track released from True, “True Messenger” is an inspired, uplifting prog-rock tune reminiscent of classic Yes from the 1970s and early ’80s. The song is highlighted by Anderson’s soaring vocals, accompanied by the impressive musicianship of The Band Geeks. A particular standout moment is a blazing solo by guitarist Andy Graziano.

“True Messenger” features enigmatic, mystical lyrics about the unity of humanity and seeking tom manifest positive change.

“You are everyone, you are me / We are everyone, we are free,” Anderson sings. “All of us can dream again / Dancing over all the sense of reason / Just to let you know / That if you ever dream the storyline, it will change to magical motion.”
