West Virginia has been named one of the worst states for healthcare according to a new report from WalletHub.

According to the report, West Virginia ranks as 49th when it comes to health care, only Alabama and Mississippi are worse.

WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 44 key measures of health care cost, accessibility and outcomes. The data set ranges from the average monthly insurance premium to physicians per capita to the share of the population with health insurance.

West Virginia has the lowest share of at-risk adults without a routine doctor visit in the past two years, which is 1.9 times lower than in New Mexico, the highest.

The Mountain State was also listed as the state with the highest stroke and disease rate and the 48th highest cancer rate.
