    New Costco bakery item is ‘delicious and nostalgic’ and has fans running to the store

    A new Costco bakery item has shoppers running to the store.

    The wholesaler recently introduced the Orange Dreamsicle Cheesecake from its Kirkland Signature brand. The dessert is a light and refreshing treat , perfect for summer.

    The Instagram account @costcohotfinds posted about the new cake. It reveals the dessert is made with an orange vanilla batter, creamy whipped topping and sweet graham crust.

    One cake, which is 12-inches in diameter, costs $22.99. The Instagram user said the cake is nearly five pounds, and the creamy orange flavor is both delicious and nostalgic.

    In the comments, people were thrilled to go out and try the dessert.

    One person said, “Can’t wait to try,” while another wrote, “This looks so delicious!”

    On Youtube, The Deal Guy, who informs his followers of all the best retail deals, said it was one of the best desserts he’s ever tried.

    After the pandemic, food trends could be heading backward, with the rise in popular flavors that promote nostalgia. Caitlin McLean, head of Sensory Qual at consumer research agency MMR Research, told Today that one cultural shift brought on by the pandemic was a desire to feel comforted with familiar flavors from our youth.

    While people are excited to try to Orange Dreamsicle Cheesecake, some complained about the high price, saying the Costco’s desserts are “over-priced and underwhelming.”

    The dessert is brand new, so it may not be at all warehouses yet.
