Armie Hammer’s mom explains why she chose to ‘forgive’ Elizabeth Chambers for having ‘hurt’ her son

Armie Hammer’s mother, Dru Hammer, claims she had to find it in her heart to “forgive” her ex-daughter-in-law Elizabeth Chambers — despite her son being the one to cheat on his ex-wife many times .
The “Hammered” author said on “The Outlier Podcast” Monday, “I had a call with Elizabeth, and I said, ‘Look, the divorce is over . As far as I’m concerned, bygones are bygones, and I love you, and I forgive you for anything that you might’ve done to hurt Armie because you were hurt.'”
She added to host Lauren Conlin, “‘I understand — I’ve been there — and I ask you to forgive me if I’ve ever done anything that’s hurt you.'”
Chambers’ rep did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
However, a source denies to Page Six exclusively that the TV host has ever done anything to “harm or hurt” her ex-husband, echoing what he has said himself in recent interviews.
“We’ve worked through a lot of stuff together. We are able to put our children first and foremost, and I would say that, in a big way, bygones are bygones.”
The “Call Me by Your Name” star, 37, also admitted to Piers Morgan that he had cheated on his ex-wife with not hundreds of women but “enough.”
In September 2022, Page Six reported that the Bird Bakery founder had allegedly pressured the “Death on the Nile” actor’s rape accuser , Effie Angelova, to press charges so she could get full custody of the former spouses’s two kids: daughter Harper, 9, and son Ford, 7.
Chamber’s rep defended the “Grand Cayman: Secrets in Paradise” star’s actions, though, telling us at the time, “Given the extent and nature of allegations that were made, Elizabeth sought to determine the veracity of those allegations.
Page Six cannot confirm whether the “hurt” that Dru alluded to in her podcast interview was about the aforementioned allegations, though.
Like Armie, Chambers has said she and her ex course-corrected their estranged relationship , telling E! News in September 2022, “We’re committed fully and wholly to our children and to being together as much as possible in a non-romantic way for our kids.
“Kids need their mom; kids need their dad. So there’s nothing we won’t do.”
Dru also said on “The Outlier Podcast” that she gets to see her grandchildren, who are the “love of [her] life,” because the family has been able to work through their issues.
“I would never let anything get in that way if it was humanly possible,” the writer explained. “And again, it all gets down to forgiveness.”
Dru concluded, “You forgive, and you shake the sand off your feet, and you move on. That’s what God teaches us to do.”
