Los Angeles Chargers First-Round WR Gets Trolled After Consistently Terrible Showings

When you spend the No. 21 overall pick in an NFL draft on a wide receiver, you expect them to be a major upgrade to your roster, and someone who can help you achieve great success down the road.

When you pick that wide receiver over players like Zay Flowers, Jordan Addison, and Rashee Rice, then you expect great things.

So far, Los Angeles Chargers second-year WR Quentin Johnston has not lived up to any of those expectations. As a rookie, Johnston had 38 catches for 431 yards and two touchdowns. More than just the minimal production, Johnston had a terrible case of the drops, routinely letting perfectly thrown passes from QB Justin Herbert fall through his hands.

It got to a point where fans and analysts were calling Johnston a bust early in his career. So far, ahead of his second year in the NFL, things don't seem to be getting any better.

Early on in training camp, videos are already popping up on social media that show Johnston continuing to let dimes go right through his hands.

And in came the jokes and trolling.

Of course, one video clip won't tell the whole story for Johnston, who still looks like the prototypical wide receiver with a frame of 6-foot-4, 215 pounds. But unless we see him start to make some plays in the games, and more importantly stop dropping passes, this ridicule will continue.
