The Hulk Will Appear in Captain America: Brave New World, Reveals Anthony Mackie

Anthony Mackie just made a massive reveal ahead of the release of Captain America: Brave New World .

According to the actor, the original Hulk will make an appearance in the upcoming Marvel film. Speaking in a group interview with Entertainment Weekly, Mackie said the Hulk “shows up. Not Red Hulk. The other Hulk. There are multiple Hulks.”

Harrison Ford plays Red Hulk, who’s a different Hulk entirely. While his origin is unclear at this point, the Captain America: Brave New World comic con footage reveals Red Hulk , who transforms as Ford’s character, Thunderbolt Ross, is giving a speech on the White House lawn.

Green Hulk, aka the original Hulk, is played by Mark Ruffalo, who debuted in 2012’s The Avengers . He last appeared as the character in 2022 Disney+ series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law , where he trained alongside Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who becomes the first female Hulk.

“When he shows up,” continues Mackie, “his world, his universe, his story is completely separate from the way we utilize him in our story.”

Might that suggest Hulk is back to being his classic chaotic self? There has been pushback from Marvel fans against Hulk’s lack of killer instinct after Avengers: Endgame , which fused Hulk and Banner together and resulted in a character who can absolutely smash but would kind of prefer not to.
