An X account for the "White Dudes for Harris" campaign was temporarily suspended after the group raised more than $4 million for Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential bid.

On Monday (July 29), White Dudes for Harris, a campaign group for Harris' white male supporters, held a Zoom fundraiser for the presumptive Democratic nominee , garnering support for the VP and raising over $4 million.

Following the event, the campaign group's X account was suspended for reasons that remain unclear. Amid the suspension, an automated message read on the account's page: "X suspends accounts which violate the X rules."

Mike Nellis of White Dudes for Harris confirmed that their X account was restored in the early hours of Tuesday (July 30). However, Nellis said the account remains "permanently in read-only mode," meaning no new posts can be created.

Social media users called the incident an act of election interference. Roughly 190,000 people joined Monday's White Dudes For Harris Zoom call fundraiser, including actors, Jeff Bridges , Mark Ruffalo , and Joseph Gordon-Levitt , Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg , and Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker .

The Zoom fundraiser for Harris was the latest among several that have been held by various demographics, including Black women, Black men, and white women.

In response to the X account suspension, Ross Morales Rocketto , an organizer for White Dudes for Harris, said: "Got @elonmusk [X owner] scared."
