Jeopardy! has unveiled their schedule for its annual summer reruns before the new season begins.

Season 40 ended last week Friday on July 26 with ESL instructor Rachel Bradley beating two-day reigning champion and actor/screenwriter Davey Morrison . She ended the game with a total of $23,597 total and will continue playing when Season 41 comes back on September 9, 2024 .

The Jeopardy! Instagram posted the summer rerun schedule with a video montage of past contestants, host Ken Jennings and voice announcer Johny Gilbert. They captioned the July 29 post: "Time to sit back and unwind. Relive some of your favorite ToC + JIT moments all summer long."

They additionally noted on the schedule image that for ToC reruns they will begin with the fourth game and sharing their love for the contestants who fans won't see in the reruns: "We still love you Emily, Suresh, Matthew, Cris, Ben, Jared, Hannah, David and Yungsheng!"

Fans were not happy to hear these would be the reruns. Previously, fans have complained how season 40 was overrun with tournaments. Similarly, fans now don't want the reruns to only be the tournaments but the regular games. Some were okay with the tournament reruns but wanted the games that involve specific contestants such as Cris Pannullo.

On a Jeopardy! subreddit thread about the remaining summer schedules, one fan wrote: "Not more tournament episodes!!!! The seemingly years long continuous run of near pointless tournaments that just ended a few months ago has left a bitter taste in my mouth."

A second fan wrote: "They’re not rerunning the first 3 TOC games, which includes Cris Pannullo’s upset." Another said: "I wish they would replay really old episodes during this time." A fan on twitter said: "Oh no even the reruns are tournaments."

While fans await the new season of the trivia, fans who want less tournament in the next season would be happy to know that the next Tournaments of Champions will be midway through the season in early 2025 and not the beginning of the season.

But the reason for that it to gain more contestants for the game. So far there are eight contestants who qualify for this honor: Adriana Harmeyer (15 wins), Isaac Hirsch (nine wins), Drew Basile (seven wins), Alison Betts (five wins) and Dr. Amy Hummel (five wins), Grant DeYoung (four wins) and Amar Kakirde (four wins) and Celebrity Jeopardy!'s Lisa Ann Walter.
