    65th tornado confirmed in Ohio

    WILMINGTON, Ohio ( WCMH ) — The National Weather Service has confirmed the 65th tornado of the season touched down in southwestern Ohio early Tuesday morning.

    The tornado touched down in southwestern Warren County, moving into southwestern Clinton County, from the string of strong thunderstorms that moved through the state.

    The National Weather Service said damage was found in areas east of Morrow through areas northeast of Blanchester.

    Forecasts call for spotty chances of rain through the rest of Tuesday, with the chance of stronger storms rolling into central Ohio on Wednesday.

    Ohio broke the record for tornadoes in one year back with a line of storms that rolled through the state on June 29 when an EF0 touched down in Willard, Huron County .

    The National Weather Service said more details on Tuesday’s tornado would be released later in the day.
