Former Team USA gymnast Laurie Hernandez was on the call for the Americans' gold medal win at the women's team gymnastics final at the 2024 Paris Games . Her reviews thus far have been glowing.

Hernandez, 24, provided color commentary for the women's final alongside play-by-play commentator Rich Lerner. Throughout the event, fans and fellow analysts took to social media to praise the former gymnast for her abilities on the mic.

The former Olympian won the gold medal as part of Team USA's women's gymnastics team at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Various injuries left her unable to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Games, and she retired from competitive gymnastics in 2021.

Hernandez may have found her new calling with her strong performance as a color commentator during this year's Olympics. Fans said she was "funny, affable, enthusiastic ... a NATURAL" and "soooo lovely to listen to" during the women's team final as Team USA reclaimed the gold medal.
