TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — For the second year in a row, the Florida Highway Patrol has won the America’s best looking cruiser competition put on by the American Association of State Troopers.

The Florida Highway Patrol was able to capture the photo by partnering with Space Florida, the United Launch Alliance, and the National Reconnaissance Office.

“This year, we took the competition to new heights and were able to showcase Florida’s Space Coast,” said Dave Kerner, executive director of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.

The photo was taken during the final liftoff of the United Launch Alliance Delta IV Heavy at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station’s Space Launch Complex on April 18.

“We’re thrilled to see Florida claim victory for the second year in a row and are grateful to the Florida Highway Patrol for their partnership and collaboration. This well-deserved win celebrates our states leadership in both public safety and space technology,” said Rob Long, president and CEO of Space Florida.

The competition started on July 15 and saw a record of 49 states participate.

For two weeks, each state encouraged citizens to cast their votes, making this contest the most engaging in history.
