The Morning Show Adds Narcos' Boyd Holbrook as Joe Rogan-esque Podcaster in Season 4

John Carroll Lynch ( Big Sky, American Horror Story ) has joined the cast of Prime Video’s still-untitled offshoot starring Maggie Q as Detective Renee Ballard .

Lynch will play Thomas Laffont, Renee’s retired former partner and a crack interrogator who comes back to help her run the Cold Case Department.

The ensemble also includes Courtney Taylor ( Abbott Elementary , Insecure ) as Samira Parker, a wary ex-cop who returns to the force five years later at her former mentor Ballard’s behest.
