“ Simone Biles: A Little Golden Book Biography ” is a 24-page picture book that tells the story of the Olympic gold medalist, from growing up tumbling around the house, to making multiple World Championship and Olympic teams. Slightly older kids will want to pick up “ Who Is Simone Biles? ” a mini biography on the global superstar, that’s part of the “Who HQ Now” book series. Released by Penguin Workshop in 2023, the book is back on the bestsellers list after Biles’ gold medal win. The 56-page paperback is designed for readers ages 8-12, though it’s an informative and inspiring read for all ages. Writing about the aftermath of the Tokyo Olympics, author Stefanie Loh offers a motivational perspective: “Simone became more than just a legendary athlete. Of course, while the children’s books are unofficial releases, Biles did release an official memoir in 2016, after her Rio Olympics victory . “Courage to Soar” offers a behind-the-scenes look at some of the most memorable gymnastics moments in her career; insight into how she motivates herself before big competitions; and an honest account of how “the events and challenges that carried her from an early childhood in foster care to a coveted spot on the U.S. Olympic team.” This Amazon offer includes a free autographed pull-out poster.
