Of course, while the children’s books are unofficial releases, Biles did release an official memoir in 2016, after her Rio Olympics victory . “Courage to Soar” offers a behind-the-scenes look at some of the most memorable gymnastics moments in her career; insight into how she motivates herself before big competitions; and an honest account of how “the events and challenges that carried her from an early childhood in foster care to a coveted spot on the U.S. Olympic team.” This Amazon offer includes a free autographed pull-out poster. The book foreword, meantime, was written by legendary American gymnast (and fellow Olympic champ) Mary Lou Retton.

Biles may have helped Team USA take home gold in the team event, but she’s not done yet: the athlete still has the individual events to go in Paris, so she could further extend her (new) record haul.
