Tesla recalls more than 1.8 million cars because of a hood issue. The electric car giant announced a recall over software failures that detect if the hood is unlatched, raising the risk of a crash. Back in June, Tesla began updating software to fix the issue, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The recall affects the Tesla model three, S and X manufactured between 2021 and 2024, along with model Ys between 2020 and 2024. This is the biggest recall for Tesla since late last year, when the automaker recalled over 2 million cars to install new safeguards in its autopilot system.
