There are several more records in her sights. Biles' seven Olympic gold medals entering Paris tied Shannon Miller for the most Olympic medals won by an American gymnast. She quickly surpassed Miller by leading the U.S. women's gymnastics team to a gold medal in the team final for her eighth overall Olympic medal.
Biles is far from done at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Biles qualified for the all-around competition, in addition to the vault, balance beam and floor finals. Here's her remaining schedule in Paris:
All-around final: Thursday, Aug. 1; 12:15 p.m. ET
Biles won all-around gold at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. She's looking to become only the third female gymnast in Olympic history to win the all-around title two times: Soviet Union's Larisa Latynina (1956, 1960) and Czechoslovakia's Vera Caslavska (1964, 1968).
Balance beam final: Monday, Aug. 5; 6:38 a.m. ET
An Olympic gold medal on the balance beam has eluded Biles so far in her career. She has won two bronze medals on the beam in the 2016 Rio Olympics and the 2021 Tokyo Games.
Floor final: Monday, Aug. 5; 8:23 a.m. ET
Biles won gold in the floor exercise at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Soviet Union's Larisa Latynina (1956, 1960, 1964), Hungary's Ágnes Keleti (1952, 1956) and Soviet Union's Nellie Kim (1976, 1980) are the only female gymnasts to win multiple Olympic gold medals in the floor exercise.
Vault final: Saturday, Aug. 3; 10:20 a.m. ET
Biles won gold on the vault at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. She's looking to become the second woman to win the Olympic vault title two times after Caslavska did so in 1964 and 1968.
