On Tuesday, Simone Biles made Olympic history after Team USA won gold in the all-around team final in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Biles broke the record for most Olympic medals (8) by a USA gymnast, breaking a tie with former gymnastics star Shannon Miller (7).

Biles had an all-around fantastic performance in the four events of the team final, tallying a 58.332 total score between the vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise.

Team USA, including Biles, Jordan Chiles, Suni Lee, and Jade Carey, recorded a final tally of 171.296, beating the silver medal winner Italy by a wide margin. Brazil won the bronze medal.

After securing gold, Biles' sister, Adria Biles, posted a photo on her Instagram story of Simone celebrating the win with her teammates. Adria gave a simple response to her sister's Olympic win.

"Proud is an understatement," Adria said with a white heart emoji.

Biles did, however, have the highest score in the floor exercise with a 14.666. The next highest was also Andrade with 14.200.

Biles will participate in the all-around individual final on Thursday, August 1. She will be looking to secure her second gold medal of the week.
