Team USA is off to a flying start in the 2024 Paris Olympics following a solid 110-84 win over Serbia in their opening matchup. LeBron James and Kevin Durant had terrific games as both stars recorded over 20 points in the 26-point victory.

James carried his form from the London exhibition games, while KD showed his class despite missing these games due to a calf injury. However, one player that fans are patiently waiting to go off is none other than Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry .

Curry is playing in the first Olympics of his illustrious basketball career, and it feels like the Baby-Faced Assassin is facing some jitters on the court.

NBA reporter wants Curry to go off

NBA reporter Sam Amick urged head coach Steve Kerr to allow Curry to dominate Team USA's next matchup in Group C.

With South Sudan up next on Wednesday, and the memory fresh of the close call against them in a friendly game on July 20, now it's time for Kerr to get his beloved Golden State Warriors co-worker, Steph Curry, going again," Amick wrote . "For everything Curry has accomplished — the four championships, two MVPs, 10 All-Star berths and the like — it was somewhat surreal to see him be one of the "rookies" on the floor against the Serbians. And not just in name alone.

Curry finished with 11 points after shooting 4-of-8 from the floor against Serbia. Sure, it wasn't a bad game, but Curry never looked confident on the court.

Team USA is ready to face South Sudan in an exciting rematch

Team USA is the hands-down heavy favorite to win the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Coach Kerr has a star-studded roster to do his magic in Paris, and Curry is among the team's top superstars. However, as far as playing basketball in the Olympics is concerned, Steph is a rookie. The 4x NBA champion has the perfect chance to silence his doubters during Team USA's Wednesday matchup against South Sedan.

When the two squads previously met in London, Team USA narrowly escaped defeat thanks to LeBron James' fourth-quarter heroics. Curry had a forgettable performance, shooting just 3-10 from the field.

Can Curry help Team USA defeat South Sudan in an electrifying matchup to clinch the top spot in Group C? Fans will find out soon enough since they are playing South Sudan again tomorrow at the Olympics.
