College football fans have spent countless hours playing EA Sports College Football 25 and countless dollars on the game. A statistic originally reported by Insider Gaming claims the game has already racked up more than $500 million in sales in just over two weeks.

According to the report, those shattered the expectations set by EA Sports, which would have considered it a success at just $100 million in revenue.

This is the first college football video game that’s licensed the NIL rights to use player names, and fans are all saying the same thing about what the players received in return for these massive sales.

“How much are they paying the players again?” One Tennessee Fan commented.

“They paid the players $600,” Felix Johnson pointed out.

Other fans wonder if players got served a terrible deal just to have their names in the game.

“I told you that little $600 to the players was peanuts. Love the game but most of these guys were robbed,” The Program Podcast posted on X.

“A half billion dollars in sales in under 3 weeks and the vast majority of players still get just $600,” College Football Players Association director Jason Stahl wrote.

“$600 and a free game for the players. Terrible just terrible,” one fan chimed in.

“Players need a bigger cut,” another fan commented.

It’s unclear if players will be given the same offer to participate in the next college football video game. The $500 million gives us a pretty good idea of how much these players are worth to the franchise.
