Pete Dunne looked back on his days as Butch on WWE NXT .

In recent weeks, Pete Dunne has been feuding with his former Brawling Brutes stablemate Sheamus on WWE RAW. He has also targeted former NXT Champion Trick Williams on NXT.

Pete Dunne addressed both of these issues on the July 30 episode of WWE NXT. He noted that he had been in the business for 18 years, and he had seen it all before in the locker room. Dunne highlighted how Williams couldn’t move on after he was dealt the setback of losing the NCXT Championship.

He then turned his attention to his time in the Brawling Brutes. Regarding his days as “Butch”, he said, “The first time in my life that I turned to somebody for advice, I got stuck with a terrible nickname.” He called the experience a front-row seat to the Sheamus show. Dunne noted that this would make anyone else bitter too.

Pete Dunne’s Message To Trick Williams

Dunne then circled back to Trick Williams, saying that he could not seem to figure it out. He looked back on the time he got jumped and how he had to stand up for himself. Dunne said that he figured it out. As for Williams, he said that he had all the tools, and he should be able to trust his instincts. Dunne said that he would teach Williams a painful lesson the following week. Williams then responded by saying that he would “whoop that ass.”
