Ex Bachelor contestant Hailey Merkt died at the age of 31 after battling cancer.
Hailey's Instagram page was updated with what seemed to be the first post in over two months. The post announced that the formerly reality star had died from leukemia.
"It is with broken hearts we share that our beloved Hailey has passed away after a courageous fight for her life," the post's caption read.

"Hailey faced this journey with unimaginable strength, grace, and selflessness," it continued. Hailey's used her "determination and courage" in the fight for her life, and in doing so she "surpassed every timeline the doctors gave her."
According to the post, "she chose to spend her final moments surrounded by loved ones and doing what she cherished most with no regrets."
Additionally, "She will forever be remembered as anything but boring, always hysterically funny, and as someone who lived fully in the present moment. Hailey embraced life with an unmatched zest; her beautiful spirit has touched countless lives," per the final post on Hailey's Instagram.
"Hailey will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Her laughter, her love, and her vibrant spirit have left an undeniable mark on our hearts," the post revealed. "While we grieve her loss, we find comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on in all the lives she touched. Rest in peace, Hailey."
Many fans shared how much they'd miss Hailey in the comment section of the post.
"Sending your family so much love and strength. We love you, Hailey. We will miss you so much," one fan wrote.
A second added, "Rest easy darling I know you are somewhere surrounded by beauty watching over us. Hailey, you were one of a kind and I am grateful to have known you earth side. May you rest in eternal peace, goodbye for now my friend."
Several more shared sweet anecdotes about Hailey that showed her kind nature.
"Oh love, I feel so blessed to have spent the time I did with you," someone seemingly close to Hailey commented. "I will cherish our time in Mexico City forever and carry you with me on all my adventures. Bright, Lovely, Kind, with the most joyful smile. Sending my love to your family as close friends ."
Someone else disclosed: "Grateful to have known Hailey, and to be a part of her Australian adventure. Sending love and condolences to all her friends and family."
Hailey competed in Season 21 of The Bachelor for the heart of Nick Viall.
