    Evacuations lifted for wildfire burning near Soap Lake

    GRANT COUNTY, Wash. - UPDATE: July 31, 5 a.m.: Evacuations for the Road 20 Fire were cancelled and people can return home.

    The Grant County Sheriff's Office says four vehicles, four RVs, and seven outbuildings were destroyed in the fire.

    UPDATE: July 30, 2024 10:53 p.m.:

    The Grant County Sheriff's Office has upgraded the evacuations for a wildfire near Soap lake to Level 3 (GO NOW) evacuations.

    These apply to the are of Road 20-NE area of Road B-NE north to Highway 28.

    ORIGINAL STORY July 30, 2024 10:25 p.m.:

    The Grant County Sheriff's Office has issued Level 2 (Get Set) evacuations for a wildfire burning near Soap Lake.

    Level 2 evacuations are in place for Road 20 East of Road B NE.

    The Sheriff's Office said a fire is burning to the east from Road B NE.
