The ongoing romantic Chinese drama The Best Day of My Life released episode 11 on July 30, 2024. The series tells the story of Xu Mu ( Jiang Zhinan ), who signs a relationship deal with her high school crush, Xie Shi ( Zhang Jiongmin ).

The latest episode focuses on Xu Mu confronting Xie Shi about his past. The former meets up with her friends after her date with Zhang Yao, while Shen Yi passes this information to Xie Shi. Although the latter feels despondent after hearing about Zhang Yao’s confession to Xu Mu, he feels relieved to know that she turned him down. However, when asked if hestill likes Xu Mu, Xie Shi remains quiet. After getting off the call, he feels restless and decides to get out and meet Xu Mu, but he soon receives an urgent call and rushes to catch a flight immediately.

On her way to work, Xu Mu gets scolded by her mother. Mrs. Xu worries about her daughter’s mental health and wants to set her up with someone new. At work, Xu Mu overhears some colleagues talking about Director Chiang’s engagement. She mistakenly hears Chiang as Jiang and is confident that Xie Shi is getting engaged. Even from her friends, Xu Mu learns that Xie Shi has gone abroad, and she misunderstands the situation.

The next day, Xu Mu’s mother sets her up on a blind date. At first, Xu Mu objects, but she goes since she is indifferent to her preference for a marriage partner. However, she is surprised to see Xie Shi sitting at the cafe and asks if he got engaged to Qiao Nan. Although initially baffled by the question, Xie Shi quickly understands that she mistook Chiang for him and clears the whole thing.

Furthermore, he assures her that he is only friends with Qiao Nan and knows about her and Zhang Yao, but Xu Mu still expresses anger towards Xie Shi. As she storms out of the cafe, Xie Shi stops her. He tells her that he really wants to marry her, and Xu Mu accepts his proposal.

The two sign their household register as a couple and also get their pictures clicked. Xu Mu moves in with Xie Shi. At night, she gets shy when she has to share a bed with him. She misinterprets Xie Shi’s intentions and thinks that he might try to get intimate with her, but nothing happens.

What happens in The Best Day of My Life episode 11’s ending?

The next day, Xu Mu receives congratulatory messages from her boss and colleagues. However, her heart shatters when she learns that Xie Shi will soon leave Jiangbei. Meanwhile, following Xu Mu’s advice, Zhang Yao donates all his paintings to help those in need and quietly leaves the city without informing anybody.

After having dinner with his friends, Xie Shi returns home drunk. Xu Mu, like a faithful companion, takes care of him. When Xie Shi pulls her closer, she leans in for a kiss but controls herself at the last moment.

Later in the episode, Nian Nian receives a distressed phone call from her father, who informs her about her mother’s poor health. Shen Yi stays by her side while she balances work and hospital visits. Moreover, he learns to cook and takes turns staying with Nian Nian’s mother.
