Oconee County Little League plays for shot at World Series. How to watch, follow scores

Oconee County Little League is one step from the Little League World Series in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

The 10-12 year old All-Star team won the Georgia Little League championship two weeks ago, qualifying itself for the 8-team Southeast Region Tournament beginning Thursday in Warner Robins.

This is the first Oconee County Little League team to win state in this age group, and the first District 10 state champion in more than 40 years, the Oconee County Little League Facebook page said .

When does Oconee County Little League play?

Oconee County Little League will open double-elimination play Thursday at 10 a.m. against the North Carolina state champions, Greenville Little League.

A win advances Oconee County to a game Friday at 4 p.m. against the winner of Florida and South Carolina, while a loss pushes them to the losers bracket and another 10 a.m. game on Friday.

It takes just three wins without a loss to reach next Tuesday's region championship game.

How to watch Oconee County Little League

The first game will be on ESPN+ , as will many games in the tournament. The winners bracket finals will be on ESPN Sunday at 2 p.m. with the championship game being on ESPN Tuesday at 3 p.m.

Who is playing in the Little League Baseball Southeast Region Tournament?

Oconee County represents Georgia state champions, while state champions from North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, West Virginia and Virginia will also participate.
