PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOURS : Wednesday will feature partly sunny skies, with very warm and humid conditions. Temperatures will top out right near the 90 degree mark, with heat index values in the mid to upper 90s across most of southern Wisconsin. There is still an ALERT DAY, mainly for Wednesday night into early Thursday morning. The best chance of severe weather and storms in general Wednesday afternoon should remain to our southwest. Overnight Wednesday into early Thursday though, storms will develop ahead and along a cold front. All modes of severe weather would be possible, however, our biggest threat will be damaging winds and heavy rain. It will stay warm and humid Wednesday night with temperatures remaining in the lower to mid 70s.

EXTENDED FORECA ST : Scattered storms are possible Thursday afternoon and evening, although Wednesday night's storms may take away energy on Thursday for widespread strong storms. The First Warn Weather Team will continue to keep a close eye on this. By Friday, temperatures will cool down a bit, and that will last heading into the weekend, with rain chances decreasing.
