Storm chances return as our heat and humidity end - Jacob
4 days ago
WHAT WE'RE TRACKING :
One more day of warm temperatures
Isolated severe threat Sunday night and Monday
Not as warm this week
PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOURS: Although an isolated shower or storm is possible, most of our area will remain dry during the day today. However, rain is much more likely for the overnight hours. The best chance of rain tonight will be for southwestern Wisconsin, where there is a small severe weather risk as well. During the day on Monday, we may continue to see scattered showers and storms, but most of the rain will stay in the central portion of the state for the afternoon hours. Rain will then move back into southern Wisconsin for the evening hours Monday.
EXTENDED FORECA ST : A low pressure system is going to move through Wisconsin on Monday and bring our area another chance for severe weather, especially during the evening. Although we have a slight risk of severe weather for some locations, we do not have an alert day in the forecast because there is little to no tornado risk, and parts of our area will miss out on the severe weather entirely. Heavy rain will also be a threat Monday before showers/storms wrap up during the morning hours on Tuesday. After that, southern Wisconsin will remain mostly dry for the rest of the week. Temperatures will also be cooler with highs mostly in the 70s.
