King Charles Is Reportedly ‘Heartbroken’ After Prince Harry Tells Him He Cannot See His Grandkids Until Security Issues In The UK Are Resolved: A ‘Clear Message To The King’

It’s no secret that Prince Harry feels very strongly about the lack of private security he and his family will have when they visit the U.K., after he lost his right to public-funded private security when he and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior royals in 2020.

Prince Harry is currently appealing the High Court’s ruling that there was nothing unlawful about the decision to take away his private security since stepping down as a working royal. And until he gets the result he wants in court, he reportedly will *not* be bringing his wife or children to the U.K.

Prince Harry Has Strict Requirements For Bringing His Children To The UK

According to reports, the Duke of Sussex, 39, doesn't feel that his son Prince Archie, 5, and daughter Princess Lilibet , 3, would be safe in the U.K. without high-level security. And because of this fear, has made it clear that he doesn't want to bring them into the country to see their grandfather King Charles or their cousins Prince George , Princess Charlotte , and Prince Louis , until proper security is in place.

This has, understandably, caused the monarch a great deal of upset, especially as he has only met his granddaughter once, and his grandson just a handful of times. He last saw them when Prince Harry and Meghan flew to the U.K. for the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

According to The Mirror , royal expert Tom Quinn noted how the King is "desperate to see them and hates the idea that they will not remember him as the warm friendly grandfather he wants to be."

King Charles Reportedly 'Has Been Left Hurt' By Prince Harry's Decision

"Harry's sad admission about not bringing his family back to the U.K. over security concerns seems to be a clear message to the King," another insider claimed, according to The News International.

"The 75-year-old monarch has been left hurt by the Duke as Harry and his family feel unsafe in the U.K.," the source continued, adding: "Harry's latest move suggests as Archie and Lilibet will never travel to the U.K. without the security he demands."

Prince Harry also made his concerns for his family's safety known in a candid interview with ITV earlier this month. In the interview, which was about his fight against the tabloids, the father-of-two said: "All it takes is for one lone actor who reads this stuff to act on what they've read. And whether it's a knife or acid, these are things that are genuine concerns for me. It's one of the reasons why I won't bring my wife back to this country."
