Prince Harry and Meghan Markle perhaps didn't recognize the strong card they had in hand when they decided to resign from their Royal duties, according to an authority on all things royal. The duo stunned everyone more than four years ago with their decision to give up their lives as public figures in Britain and start anew in the United States.

It was largely thought that they might have been pivotal in connecting with the younger cohort, safeguarding the future significance and charm of the monarchy. A Royal pundit has pointed out that the Sussexes' continued commitment to Royal tasks could have spelled huge success for them, owinng to a special trait.

Commenting for True Royalty TV's The Royal Beat , Bonnie Brownlee remarked: "Meghan could have been extremely helpful (to the Royal Family), especially in the Commonwealth... there are a lot of millennials around the world in the Commonwealth nations. I think Harry and Meghan would have been highly successful, and sometimes I think they didn't realize how powerful they already were before they moved to Los Angeles . They could have brought a great deal of openness, fairness, and change."

A former friend of Harry has warned that the Sussexes might have traded off their good name for financial returns. With rumors circulating that they've been rubbing elbows with celebrity clans like the Kardashians, further speculation was fuelled when Markle's mum Doria was seen with Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner at a party in LA.

Markle was seen at a Beyonce gig, alongside Kim and the rest of the Kardashian crew. This has set tongues wagging about the possibility of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex popping up on the Kardashians' reality TV series, even if just for a quick cameo, reports the Mirror US .

A former school pal of Harry, who keeps in contact with Prince William, was taken aback by such talk. Chatting to The Daily Beast, they said: "I mean, it used to be a joke, 'Oh, they are going to be the new Kardashians'. The idea that it could actually happen is insane. I'm gobsmacked. They have frittered away their reputations in pursuit of money, and this is the result. I actually think they ultimately probably will do it, or something very like it. They have done everything else, and they are going to need the money."

Meanwhile, former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond has voiced her opinion that joining the reality TV ranks would be a step too far for the Royal duo. Speaking to OK! magazine, she expressed: "They seem to have cut all ties with the Royal Family - except for Princess Eugenie - so it seems inevitable that they will now embrace lives as La La land celebs. Personally, I think it would be ludicrous and rather demeaning to appear in the Kardashians. I think they are better than that. "I cannot imagine why Harry would want to invite the glare of reality TV into his life.

"Surely his only purpose in courting the publicity he so despises is to shine a light on the causes he cares about? Why invite more?"
