Pan-India star Prabhas is a busy actor with a number of movies in his kitty. After portraying the lead role in Nag Ashwin’s latest blockbuster mythological sci-fi movie Kalki 2898 AD, all eyes are now on his upcoming projects. One of the actor’s most anticipated movies is his collaboration with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The movie has been titled Spirit, and a few details about the actor’s role have been reported recently.

Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga is known for his movies Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh. His last movie Animal, with Ranbir Kapoor, was a smash hit despite the mixed reviews that it received from critics and the audience. He is now aiming for another blockbuster with Prabhas.

Will Prabhas play a double role in Spirit?

It has already been confirmed that Prabhas will be seen playing a cop’s character in Spirit. Sandeep Reddy Vanga himself confirmed that the actor will play the role of a sincere cop. However, the director did not spill more beans on the movie’s plot. The latest report by ALLwood Reviews‘ X (formerly Twitter) account claims that the actor would also play the lead antagonist in the film. Moreover, the lead villain is expected to appear during the interval of the movie.

The report also claims that the movie is expected to go on the floors in the first month of 2025. Moreover, it might be released around Christmas 2026.

The buzz around Spirit is massive, as it marks the first collaboration between Prabhas and Vanga. Many other reports have also been teasing details about the movie’s cast. It was earlier reported that the makers have gone international when it comes to casting. Allegedly, South Korean star Ma Dong Seok has come on board for a crucial role in the film.

However, an official confirmation about the Train to Busan actor’s involvement in the movie is awaited.
