Disney Plus original K-drama Red Swan follows the story of successful golfer Oh Wan-Soo (Kim Ha-Neul), who marries the elite Hwain Group heir and heads the charitable NOW Foundation. She comes across her bodyguard Seo Do-Yoon (Rain), who holds a secret. He hopes to reveal dark secrets about the conglomerate and does so with the help of Wan-Soo.

    Red Swan K-Drama ending spoilers

The final episode of the K-drama Red Swanon Disney Plus saw Seo Do-Yoon navigate clues to punish Han Sang-Il and his son Kim Yong-Min. He was successful in proving Sang-Il’s hand in ordering Wan-Soo and his friend Ju-Hyuk’s murders. He dealt with various challenges to save Wan-Soo and her NOW Foundation and bring justice to Ju-Hyuk.

How does Han Sang-Il set up Chairwoman Park Mi-Ran?

Episode 10 of Red Swan began with Hwain Group Chairwoman Park Mi-Ran’s arrest for embezzling money from the NOW Foundation. Sang-Il stood quiet as he was Mi-Ran being taken away by the prosecutors. Meanwhile, the prosecution also arrived at Sang-Il’s house for a search and seizure and took his safe. Previously, Do-Yoon had hidden evidence against Sang-Il provided by Wan-Soo’s late brother, Oh Hyun-Soo.

During his battle with Lee Jin or K1, Do-Yoon realized that she was the one who attacked Ju-Hyuk and Hyun-Soo on Sang-Il’s orders. Eventually, she got arrested. On the other hand, Sang-Il threatened Mi-Ran to take the blame for orchestrating Wan-Soo’s murders otherwise he would reveal her secrets in public. He threatened to publicize how she had an affair with him and how their son Kim Yong-Min murdered the late Chairman Kim Duo.

    What happens to Kim Yong-Guk?

Kim Yong-Guk called Jang Tae-Ra and gave her KRW 100 billion that he had saved up legally to take care of herself and their son. He broke up with her, which left her devastated. Meanwhile, Kim Yong-Min’s wife asked him for a divorce, which only angered him more. He entered the Hwain Group Grand Palace and ordered the servants to move out of the house.

Yong-Min placed a gun to Yong-Guk’s head, asking for his share of late Chairman Kim Duo’s money. After Sang-Il’s arrival, Yong-Guk mentioned to Yong-Min the similarities the father-son duo had. Sang-Il asked Yong-Min to hand over the gun so that he could kill Yong-Guk. As Sang-Gik and Yong-Guk battled, Yong-Min took the gun and shot Yong-Guk twice. Meanwhile, Wan-Soo, who witnessed the murder, screamed. Eventually, Yong-Guk passed away in his wife Wan-Soo’s arms while confessing his love for her one last time.

Sang-Il called the police in hopes of putting the blame on Wan-Soo. Yong-Guk went into hiding when the police came. There, Do-Yoon also arrived. As Wan-Soo and Sang-Il were taken to the police station, Do-Yoon discovered that Yong-Min was the culprit. With the help of the servants, he found Yong-Min hiding inside the house. Do-Yoon handed the latter over to the police and helped Wan-Soo escape prison.

Wan-Soo and Do-Yoon achieve their mission

In a conversation with Wan-Soo, Do-Yoon revealed that he’d recorded a video of Oh Hyun-Soo handing over the ledgers to Sang-Il. This could only mean that Sang-Il handed the ledgers to the prosecution and also gave orders to K1. As Sang-Il took the CEO seat at Hwain Group, Do-Yoon confronted him on his actions.

Do-Yoon revealed that Sang-Il handing over the ledgers to the prosecution cost him his life. Meanwhile, the prosecution arrived just in time to arrest Sang-Il for conspiring to murder Ju-Hyuk and Wan-Soo. After completing their mission, Wan-Soo’s security was disbanded, and Do-Yoon resigned as her bodyguard. Before leaving, he hugged Wan-Soo, asking her to be happy.

Red Swan K-drama: Will it have a Season 2?

The ending of Red Swan K-drama saw Chairwoman Park Mi-Ran handing over the reins of Hwain Group to the elected individual chosen by a vote by the board of directors. She also ordered that the late Chairman Kim Duo’s funds be given to the NOW Foundation. Later, Mi-Ran also met with Yong-Min and revealed how Sang-Il blackmailed her by using him as bait.

As both the father and son were imprisoned, Yong-Min strangled Sang-Il, blaming the latter for his greed and selfishness. By the end of the episode, Wan-Soo began working towards the betterment of society while meeting with Do-Yoon, who decided to volunteer for the organization. Given that all the characters met their respective ends, it is highly unlikely that the K-drama will have a Season 2.

All episodes of Red Swan are available to stream on Disney Plus.
