    Pledis Entertainment’s new K-pop act, TWS, debuted in 2024. Since its debut, the rookie group’s fresh concepts and excellent vocals have impressed fans. As more new listeners join the TWS fandom, many wonder what TWS means.

    After Pledis Entertainment’s boy group SEVENTEEN reached global success, fans were curious to see what the new group TWS would sound like. The fourth and fifth generations of Korean pop music acts have introduced experimental genres. However, TWS is not straying too far from the mainstream “K-pop” sound.

    Instead, the group’s motto is to deliver refreshing vocals and fun concepts that will never get old for their fans. Within seven months of its debut, TWS has shared two extended plays, Sparkling Blue and Summer Beat. Both EPs sold over half a million copies (each) within a week of their respective releases, occupying the number 1 position on the Circle Album Chart.

    Pledis Entertainment’s new rookie group, TWS, has an essential meaning behind its name. The group’s name is an abbreviation of Twenty-Four Seven With Us. The number 24 represents the hours of a day, and the number seven represents a week, which refers to “every moment.”

    Pledis Entertainment the meaning and message of TWS, noting: “It carries the meaning of ‘always with TWS.’ Through music, they want to become precious friends who make every moment transcending time and space and the ordinary daily lives of the public and fans special.”

    TWS is living up to its name of standing twenty-four-seven with fans. The group recently performed at KCON LA 2024 and iHeartRadio theater. One of the surprising performances of TWS at KCON LA was their cover stage of BTS Jungkook’s iconic hit, “3D.” The act’s electrifying energy on stage and stellar dance moves proved their potential to thrive in K-pop.

    After the success of KCON LA, Shinyu, Dohoon, Youngjae, Hanjin, Jihoon, and Kyungmin of TWS will attend Japanese network Fuji TV’s Shukan Nainai Music program on August 8. The recording will be held in Island Stadium in Odaiba Adventure King Adventure Land.
