SHOPPERS have blasted a bargain store for stocking their shelves with Christmas decor already – claiming it’s a “criminal” sight so early in the year.

It’s only been a week since The Range left people frustrated with their Halloween department .

And now eagle-eyed shoppers have spotted festive buys up for grabs too.

Savvy mum Lorna Cooper, from Paisley, was left stunned after she stumbled across a selection of new Christmas products in preparation for the winter season.

And it led to an outcry from her fellow shoppers who said it “ruins the magic” by being in shops so early – especially when the summer holidays are still in full swing.

Posting on Feed your family for about £20 a week , a public Facebook group with 679,000 followers, Lorna shared snaps of the packed shelves in her local branch.

The photos showed a number of Santa and snowy-themed products.

There was a cream cushion covered in embroidered Santa hats for £3.50, a £10 version boasting a 3D Santa, and a cute gonk one for £2.50.

Christmas lovers can also pick up festive bedding already – with Christmas trees, festive dogs, snowmen and nutcracker options available from £2.99

Other Christmassy products included a reindeer draught excluder.

Alongside her post, Lorna said: “OMG Christmas has arrived at The Range.

“I thought it was bad when they had the Halloween stuff in last week.”

Her find left social media users open-mouthed, with many taking to the comments to slam the shop for selling Christmas decor so early.

“Xmas in the shops in July is criminal, shouldn’t be allowed”, fumed one.

A second blasted: “Wishing your life away, just enjoy each season as it comes.”

A third wrote: “When I see Christmas in all the shops for months and months it ruins the magic of Christmas for my children, especially when you’re trying to explain how far away Christmas is but they don’t understand because everywhere looks Christmassy.”

“Ruins it for the kids this early”, echoed a fourth.

Someone else pleaded: “NO!! let’s enjoy summer first, well, while we have it.”

A sixth chimed in: “They can get in the bin. F***ing Christmas in July.”

Meanwhile, someone else asked: “What on earth is wrong with these companies? It ruins it when Christmas comes around and the sparkle is taken away from it.”

Others, however, seem delighted to get into the Christmas spirit before summer’s over.

“Yesss!!! I love Christmas, already started shopping for it”, said one.

Someone else gushed: “We need to go to The Range.”

And a third wrote: “Omg love it.”
